Andy Wu is a Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) researcher. His research in HCI focuses on Tangible Media, Information Visualization and User-Centered Design. He is particularly interested in tangible embodied interactions on interactive surfaces and in physical spaces. Andy joined General Electric (GE) Global Research Center (GRC) in 2012 as a Natural User Interface (NUI) researcher in the Connected Experience Labs at GRC in San Ramon, California. Currently, he is a Lead Scientist in the HCI Lab, AI & Machine Learning Group. He defined and implemented information visualization frameworks for industrial asset management, designed and delivered visualization authoring tools for GRC and developed multi-modal natural interactions for operation centers of the future for GE businesses. Andy received his Ph.D. degree in Digital Media from Georgia Institute of Technology.
